
Krystin has practiced for eleven years in the areas of real estate law, business law, environmental/power law, maritime law, and corporate finance. She is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Texas. Additionally, she is a licensed title insurance agent for Fidelity National Title.
She has extensive experience in serving power producing clients and clients in the power industry with inland and offshore matters. She has been recognized by her peers as a Super Lawyer in Environmental law. Her admiralty and maritime law practice ranges from the most traditional maritime situations to “cutting edge” issues associated with offshore wind-power development, and those arising out of oil and gas production operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
In her environmental and oil and gas practice she defends clients in oilfield litigation, and assists operators in transactional, litigation, and regulatory matters arising from their operations.
Krystin services lenders and borrowers in connection with acquisitions and refinances secured by real estate. Additionally, she represents clients in a variety of real estate litigation matters. As counsel to real estate developers and real estate development firms, she assists clients with the challenges of obtaining tax advantage real estate development opportunities and land use and zoning matters.
Krystin also provides Louisiana and Texas business owners with thorough legal representation for all their business needs and serves as outside general counsel for several startup companies and small businesses. She advises on a variety of issues such as: incorporation and formation, partnership and operating agreements, by-laws, buy-sell agreements, business planning, employment matters, intellectual property issues, drafting and advising contracts and contract disputes, as well as day-to-day guidance for their business law matters. She also regularly handles estate planning and probate matters for clients.
